FILLING BONSPIELS ASSOCIATION

(CLUBS HELPING CLUBS)

The purpose of FBA is to meet other curlers from other clubs, to encourage people to venture outside their own clubs for bonspiels, and to fill designated spiels with out- of- house curlers.

Each club has designated one or two spiels that they wish to fill with 4 teams from other clubs. We were then required to commit to sending a team to each club for one of their designated spiels.

The following are bonspiels to which we are required to send curlers:

November 21, 2009. Sutton Curling Club mixed spiel

November 28, 2009. Cookstown Curling Club open turkey spiel.

December 5, 2009. Alliston Curling Club Men’s turkey spiel

January 16, 2010. Newmarket (York) Curling Club Men’s

February 6, 2010. Stroud Curling Club Ladies’ Crystal Spiel

March 27, 2010. Bradford Curling Club Ladies’  spiel.

Date and type of Spiel to be determined. Barrie Curling Club.

The following are Bonspiels to which other clubs will send curlers to Coldwater:

November 14, 2009. Coldwater Curling Club Men’s Skins game

February 27, 2010. Coldwater Curling Club Kingsborough Mixed Spiel

Please consider entering a team in one of these out-of-town spiels. It is a lot of fun and great PR for the coldwater Curling Club.
